Food for thought…

6th Grade – Final Graphing Project

The goal is to finish this final challenge today. Remember, use to find the area of the countries. For those where you could not find both the area in square kilometers as well as square miles, here’s a hint: can you create a formula to automatically compute the calculation.

To find the populations for 2010, I’d like for you to use the Google Public Data engine. This will let you analyze the population for each of the countries.

Finally, see if you can use your completed data table to create the following 3 graphs:

  1. Compare the countries by area in square miles
  2. Compare the countries by population
  3. Compare the countries by population and area in square miles

What can you infer from your data?
